The Women Of High Value

Home » BLOG » Character Building » The Women Of High Value

In this post, I will be focusing on underlining the value of christian women. Women have a special place in God’s heart and in His work. As daughters of God, we have the privilege to be called princesses, being that the Lord, the King of kings is our Father and Saviour. We are part of the Divine Monarchy, thus we must uphold high standards of conduct. We must live by the King’s principles and commandments, in other words, set an example for the world to see. Women can play a sacred influence on the precious hearts and souls surrounding them, providing that they subject themselves to the Holy Spirit.

Characteristics of a high valued woman

A woman of high value is the representative of her Heavenly Father on earth. She is the daughter of the King. She must carry herself with grace, modesty and simplicity, in her speech and deportment.

God calls for earnest women workers, workers who are prudent, warm-hearted, tender, and true to principle. He calls for persevering women who will take their minds from self and their personal convenience and will centre them on Christ.

Testimonies for the Church 6:118 – Ellen G. White

A high valued woman, is gentle in manners, humble, polite, a true servant. She puts her needs aside for those of others. However, she can’t attain these high valued characteristics by her own strength . Indeed, no woman on earth can do these things without the help of Jesus Christ. For this reason, women must constantly connect with God. Specifically by studying his Word and spending much needed time in prayer and devotion.

The Lord expects his daughters to have a Christlike character. They must have a kind, warm and sympathetic heart. Women professing godliness should select their words, be reserved and refined. Even in times of hardship, the woman of God holds her christianity up high and never speak a word of discouragement

When unkind, discouraging words are spoken to you, do not retaliate. Do not reply unless you can return a pleasant answer. Say to yourself, ” I will not disappoint my Saviour”

Welfare Ministry 153.1 – Ellen G. White

A true gentlewoman

We often talk about how men should be gentlemen, how they should treat and protect, us ladies. But as women, we are also called to be gentlewomen. The definition of a gentlewoman is a high valued woman, a Christian woman. “On her lips is ever the law of kindness”, slow to anger, kind, soft and most definitely gentle. She lights up a room with her smile, as well as with the rays of sunshine which overflow from her compassionate heart. A true gentlewoman has the capacity to soften and appease rough hearts, only by her presence, courteous manners and soft words.

High valued women of the Bible

In the Bible, The Lord used many iconic women to accomplish His Will. He worked miracles, changed men’s hearts, and taught vital lessons through the women of the Bible. How much more does God want to do the same today, with us, with you.

Through His Providence Ruth the Moabite, became an important link in the lineage of Jesus Christ. You can read the Story of Ruth and Naomi: here. Hannah the praying woman, consecrated her dear son Samuel to the Lord and he became a true prophet in Israel. Abigail softened David’s irritated heart with her humility and reverence . Queen Esther gained the king’s heart, by the same token, the Lord used her to deliver her people. Let’s not forget about Lydia, Dorcas, Sarah, Mary, just to name a few. They have all accomplished great things for the Lord, their God and King.

Just as in ancient times, God is seeking to use virtuous women, younger and experienced wiser women. He wants to bring them to the frontlines and work through them to bring the lost souls to Him. He is seeking for high valued women to accomplish miracles, gain great victories and deliver His children from the darkness. In conclusion, the value of christian women is found in Christ and we must walk in His standards.
