God deserves all the praise and adoration. And we can clearly express our love to Him, through sweet and simple music. He deserves to have his precious children give him thanks for His unconditional love. As his beloved daughter, you must sing about God’s wonderful works and remember what He has done for you. He wants us to magnify His name before the world and also wants us to praise Him with our whole heart and soul.
“He desires to have a stronger expression from His people, showing that they know they have a reason for joy and gladness.”
God’s amazing grace – Ellen G. White -p.76
The holy angels also take pleasure in hearing the people of God praising Him in song, adoration and sincerity. Praising God is a testimony of who He truly is. The angels also rejoice in heaven giving Him all the glory.
I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High. - Psalm 7:17
A trusted weapon against discouragement
Sweet and pure melody honours and pleases God. It is a sweet offering of incense to God. When the enemy of your soul throws curve balls at you and puts obstacles in your life, elevate your soul in songs of adoration. Worshiping God uplifts the thoughts and inspires positivity and purity of heart.
“Music was made to serve a holy purpose, to lift the thoughts to that which is pure, noble, and elevating, and to awaken in the soul devotion and gratitude to God”
Music: Its Role, Qualities, and Influence – Chapter 2 – Ellen G. White
The human voice in singing is a blessing and a gift from God. We need to use this special talent for His Glory. Never let your heart fall into complete discouragement, you have a powerful weapon against it.
Your singing voice.
The angels are carefully listening, He is listening. There is so much power in singing words. Singing will cast away the darkest clouds and bring sunshine into your weary heart. Instead of giving in to a spirit of despair and deception, express praises and thanksgiving in a song. You will view life much differently.
This is my prayer for you and for me.
